Rural Medicine Fellow
Dr. Reid McCabe is a family medicine physician who enjoys caring for patients of all ages and building lasting relationships with the individuals and families he serves. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University after completing degrees at Tufts University and Duke University. He completed his Family Medicine residency at UCLA in Santa Monica, California, where he also served as Chief Resident.
Throughout his training and career, Dr. McCabe has cared for patients in diverse settings, from rural hospitals in Montana and Arctic Alaska to clinics and public health programs around the world. These experiences strengthened his commitment to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for every patient. His professional interests include family medicine, hospital and emergency care, obstetrics, wilderness medicine, and medical education. Fluent in Spanish, he is passionate about serving Idaho’s growing Hispanic community. Outside of work, he enjoys backcountry skiing, cooking, reading, and is a certified rescue diver.
