When your child is admitted to the hospital, Dr. Nathan Hannay is one of the compassionate pediatric specialists dedicated to their care. As a pediatric hospitalist, Dr. Hannay provides expert inpatient care for children of all ages, working hand-in-hand with families throughout Idaho to make a hospital stay feel a little less overwhelming during one of life’s most stressful moments.
Education & Training
Dr. Hannay’s path to pediatric medicine began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utah Valley University. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, then completed his pediatric residency through the Pediatric Residency of Idaho — training that prepared him to care for children across every stage of childhood, from newborns to teens.
A Passion for Pediatric Care — and for Teaching
Dr. Hannay finds deep purpose in caring for kids in the acute hospital setting, offering both skilled medical care and a steady, reassuring presence for families navigating a difficult time. His commitment to pediatric medicine extends beyond the bedside: he remains actively involved with the Pediatric Residency of Idaho, mentoring and training the next generation of pediatricians so more children benefit from excellent, compassionate care for years to come.
Life Outside the Hospital
When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Hannay loves spending time outdoors, taking long walks, and traveling. Most of all, he treasures time with his family.
