What are Community Health Workers?
Community Health Workers (CHWs) promote wellness by helping people adopt healthy behaviors. They advocate for people who may have limited access to health resources and social services. Usually, CHWs share ethnicity, language, socioeconomic status, and life experiences with the community members they serve.
The CHWs at Full Circle Health offer:
- Help with insurance enrollment into health insurance plans
- Help with getting access to health care services: Medical, Pediatric, Dental, Behavioral Health, Social Welfare
- Help with getting access to community resources: housing, employment, food, transportation, and more!
- Their presence within the community by participating in conferences, classes, health fairs, and other events
