Dr. Sarah Bardwell grew up in Denver, CO where she spent 10 years working in the service industry to make ends meet and dedicating the rest of her time to social justice issues. At 27, she decided to pursue her passions for social justice through medicine and began her studies at the University of Colorado

Dr. Patterson grew up in Arizona and attended the University of Arizona for Undergraduate, Medical School and Pediatric Residency. He decided on Pediatrics early in his fourth year of medical school as he kept being pulled towards the care of children. He met his wife, who was from Idaho, while she attended college in Tucson.

Primary Care Psychiatry Fellowship Co-Director Bari Laskow grew up in the Northeast, spending her formative years in New Jersey. She completed her undergraduate degree in the humanities at New York University – The Gallatin School, creating her own major exploring the social determinants of health. After spending some time in the NGO world in New
