Application Process:
Applications are accepted via ERAS and interviews will be conducted on a hybrid schedule in 2025/2026.
Interviews will take place on Monday and Thursday evenings. Monday will be all virtual through Thalamus with Thursday being in-person with an in-person social after the interview day as well. This social can be attended by anyone that interviews with us, not just those that interviewed on that day.
In-person interviews will start at 3pm at the Caldwell Clinic at 315 E Elm St. Suite 201. The day will start with a quick tour of the hospital and clinic along with an informational session to follow. After this, interviews will begin at 4:30pm and will consist of 3 30-minute interviews with the Program Director, Assistant Program Director and one of our residents. The social after interviews will begin at 6pm at a location that will be given that day.
The Program Director, Assistant Program Director and Chief Resident will spend 30 minutes prior to your interview sharing the highlights of the program. Your scheduled interview will be one-on-one where you learn the specifics of the program, then we will end your interview with a virtual open forum with our current residents. The deadline for receiving applications with ERAS system is October 17, 2025, and the interviews will be November 3 to December 18, 2025.

We will be using Thalamus as our interview tool in which all messages, notifications, and interview invites will be coming through emails from Thalamus. All interviews will be done through Thalamus as well so please keep a lookout for any emails from Thalamus.

Criteria:
- Only ERAS applications are accepted: applicant must contact their medical school.
- International medical graduates must have a passing score on USMLE Step 1 and Step 2.
- Applicants should not be more than two years out of medical school.
- Three letters of recommendation are required. One must be a letter from a Family Medicine physician with whom you have worked.
- International medical graduates must be fluent in both written and oral English. Our Residency Program does not support or sponsor VISA’s of any kind
- For international medical graduates, please contact the Idaho State Board of Medicine to make sure your medical school is an approved school for licensure in Idaho, (208) 327-7000. If not approved, we cannot accept your application.
