Michigan State University College of Human Medicine
Hi everybody! My name is Olivia G Wiese and I grew up in a small town in Southern Michigan. I attended college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where I studied Neuroscience and Russian. While I was there I played mellophone for the Michigan Marching Band. Go Blue! After graduation I worked at the University of Michigan in the psychology department as a lab manager. My research focused on multisensory perception and synesthesia. Here, I discovered a love of working with patients. I also started volunteering with hospice during this time which solidified my commitment to serving vulnerable populations.

I attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. I spent my first two years of medical school in Grand Rapids, Michigan and then moved to the Upper Peninsula as part of a Rural Physicians Program. Here, I discovered my passion for rural medicine – especially full spectrum family medicine. My current interests are women’s health, adolescent medicine, and pain and palliative care.
Outside of medicine I love to knit and enjoy the outdoors. I am always searching for new exciting yarns and interesting projects to cast on! My husband and I are so excited to move to Idaho and explore the beautiful wilderness. When we aren’t hiking or climbing we can be found watching silly TV shows and relaxing on the couch with our cat Edith.
