Michael Knox, MD

Michigan State – College of Human Medicine

Hi there! My name is Michael – I have spent most of my life in Grand Rapids, Michigan and I am excited to now call Boise my home! I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2014 with a degree in biochemistry, then took a few years off to “figure things out.” I worked at a restaurant, helped develop a startup medical scribe company, and was a psychiatric technician.

Through this time, I developed my passion for intentional self-wellness. The growth it brought sparked my vision to bring this attention to one’s physical, mental, and social health to my community as a physician.

I discovered that what I applied to myself, and what my vision is to bring to my future patients, was already in motion in the form of Lifestyle Medicine. I worked extensively throughout my medical school career at Michigan State CHM to build LM electives and present research at the ACLM conferences. The mission of my career is to bring this approach to primary care to the marginalized communities who need it most. To prevent disease, I first want to learn how to manage sick to the best of my ability. This combined with my love for the mountains is what brought me to Full Circle Health Boise.

I love to backpack, ski, run, eat and cook, drink coffee, and sit around a fire!
