University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
Hi there! My name is Jamie, and I grew up in Fox Point, Wisconsin – a suburb of Milwaukee along Lake Michigan. I was a very active kid and spent most of my time between sports, friends, and family. For college, I went to Georgetown University where I studied healthcare management and policy and worked at a student-run bodega. After undergrad, I was lucky enough to enter the field of global health and I worked for Partners In Health for several years. Through this work, I lived in Boston, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone. I loved exploring new places and supporting healthcare delivery in under-resourced places. I also came to realize that direct patient care is what truly fuels me, and I then started down the path of becoming a physician.

Between working abroad and starting medical school, I lived in Vermont and eastern Oregon, got married, became a yoga teacher, and traveled across Mexico, Ecuador, and the Western U.S. via bicycle. I returned to my home state to attend the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health for medical school. During medical school, my love for primary care only increased as I got to explore the many facets of modern medicine. I am passionate about preventive medicine, women’s health, and lifestyle medicine. I have two young sons and when I’m not studying or working, I can be found running around outside with my family.
