Dr. Michaela Schulte serves as one of three Chief Medical Officers (CMO) for Population Health Areas at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho. Together with the VP for Population Health she is tasked with improving Quality, Safety, and Patient as well as Provider Experience for the Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, and Fruitland campuses. Dr. Schulte is a Medical Graduate of the University of Heidelberg Medical School, Germany.
Prior to moving to the US, she worked as a house officer in Germany as well as the United Kingdom, and during that time obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine from the University of Liverpool. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency, and Infectious Disease Fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. Since then, she has been working as Hospitalist in Southwestern Idaho with the opportunity to assume leadership responsibilities within the medical staff as well as for her hospitalist group. Dr. Schulte joined St. Luke’s in 2016 to help build an acute care hospital in Nampa, ID with specific
responsibilities for developing and leading the Hospitalist Medicine group and supporting the formation of a new medical staff.
