Blossom Puamohala Johnston has more than 35 years of experience supporting Idaho’s nonprofit, philanthropic, government, and community sectors. She founded Idaho Partners for Good (IP4G), a grassroots initiative that helps donors give more effectively and helps nonprofits strengthen their organizational capacity through grants, technical assistance, and strategic support.
Her career has focused on improving outcomes for children and families. She has worked for two Idaho governors, in healthcare, consulting, startup businesses, and philanthropy, including as a former program officer at the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation. Her work has included statewide family and children’s initiatives, community and faith-based partnerships, recovery support services, and several transformational education and community initiatives.
Blossom was born on Moku o Keawe, the Big Island of Hawai‘i, and later moved to Idaho to pursue opportunities to serve families and communities. She graduated from Kamehameha Schools and earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies: Community Health Improvement from Boise State University.
She brings specialized expertise in human-centered design and strategic charitable giving, with a focus on helping donors and organizations achieve greater impact. Outside of her professional work, she is active in community service and is deeply committed to faith and family.
