Bessie Katsilometes, PhD

Dr. Bessie M. Katsilometes is a first-generation Greek-American college student who came from South Dakota to attend Idaho State University (ISU) in 1970. In December 1973, she earned a BA degree in Sociology/Social Work with High Honors and obtained a MPA degree in 1990. In December 2010, Bessie attained her PhD in Humanities with a concentration in Transformative Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Employed by ISU for 30 years in a variety of administrative leadership positions, Dr. Katsilometes retired in 2016 as the Associate Vice President for University Programs at ISU Meridian Health Science Center (HSC), where she previously served as Dean of Academic Programs for ISU Meridian and ISU-Boise.

In April 2020, Bessie was elected to the Full Circle Health Board of Directors. Her time with Full Circle Healthโ€™s Board has been marked by significant milestones, including her election to the position of Vice-Chair (7/2021-6/2023) and Board Chair (7/2023-6/2025). Within that role, she served as a member of the Full Circle Health Finance Committee (7/2021-6/2023) and Full Circle Health Executive Committee (7/2021-6/2025). Since her Board Chair election, Bessie has served as the Co-Chair of the Compliance/HR Committee and continues her membership within the Executive Committee and became a member of the I-CARE Values Committee. In addition to the Full Circle Health committees, Bessie has also been an active and influential member of the Graduate Medical Education Committee (7/2020-6/2025).
