Society for Teachers of Family Medicine Annual Spring Conference, held May 5-9 in Washington, D.C.
- Boise Program Director Justin Glass, Nampa Program Director Kim Stutzman, faculty member Sandy Mudge, and fellow Jaclyn Cooperrider, presented a lecture discussion entitled “Game On: Solving the Puzzle of Resident Education Using Continuity Panels.” They offered insights and experience with the re-work of Full Circle Health’s didactic structure to include registry management time paired with core outpatient topics.
- Director of Behavioral Sciences, Research and Grants Winslow Gerrish led a pre-conference workshop on Medical Improv titled “‘Yes, And’ for My Learners: Using Medical Improve to Grow Creative and Professional Physician Communicators,” collaborating with colleagues from several different locations across the country.
- Residents Loren Colson and Margaret Pluskal, along with faculty members Margaret Mortimer and Abby Davids, presented a lecture discussion on the newly-expanded Global Medicine Training Track at Full Circle Health’s Emerald Clinic, entitled “Global Health at Home: Integrating Residents into the Care of Special Populations.”
- HIV and Viral Hepatitis fellows Sarah Henkle and Maia Pinsky, along with faculty member Abby Davids, presented a lecture/didactic session on HIV prevention using pre-exposure prophylaxis, entitled “PrEP in Primary Care: Training the Family Medicine Workforce in HIV Prevention.”
