Justin McCoy, DO

Dr. McCoy was raised in Spokane, Washington where he grew up loving sports and the many outdoor activities available in the Pacific Northwest. After graduating from Central Valley High School he attended Brigham Young University – Idaho for one year prior to serving a two year church mission in Venezuela where he learned to speak Spanish fluently. When he came home from Venezuela he transferred to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he received his bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. McCoy went to medical school at Midwestern University and attended the Arizona campus College of Osteopathic Medicine. He stayed in Arizona for his family medicine training where he spent most of his extra time volunteering for local high schools and at other sporting events as preparation for his specialty training in sports medicine. Dr. McCoy worked as the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellow at Full Circle Health and spent most of his time working at the Idaho Sports Medicine Institute where he worked with the Boise State University student athletes. He also worked with the local high schools providing game coverage for their events.

Dr. McCoy now works as the Primary Care Sports Medicine physician in Grand Junction, Colorado working at Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates. He provides coverage to four local high schools; working with local Division II university student athletes. He provides fracture care, US guided injections, diagnostic MSK ultrasound, Tenex procedures and general musculoskeletal care for the community.
