James Gardner, MD

Caldwell RTT, Faculty

Jim Gardner Grew up as a native Texan and traveled to multiple areas of the country following his father on Government assignments throughout the Western US. This lead to learning about Idaho and ultimately falling in love with the area. Training to initially be a veterinarian from Tarleton State University, a marital reroute saw him join his wife in medicine by going to the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Residency ensued as well in Houston to allow he and his wife to be together at Memorial Southwest Healthcare in Family Practice. Idaho drew them back after training completed and started them on their dream of small town medicine in Grangeville for twelve years of full scope rural medicine. The opportunity for being involved further in the Caldwell RTT for rural training was much of a decision to join with SAMG and Full Circle Health and share our brand of a rural blended medicine. We have two sons in college across the country studying to be in Construction Science and Commercial Piloting and a daughter finalizing her plans to likely be in veterinarian studies from high school. We bask daily in watching sunsets along the Snake River and enjoying Idaho’s wine country.
