Stephen Annest, LCSW
Stephen has provided effective and compassionate clinical intervention in outpatient hospital and outpatient/intensive outpatient community mental health settings for over 7 years. Stephen’s approach in counseling is feedback and trauma/mindfulness informed. He values cultivating safety and authentic alliance with his clients through helping them feel heard understood and respected, working on what matters to them, and encouraging open and honest feedback from clients about their session experience.
Stephen received his master’s in social work from Northwest Nazarene University and was raised in southern Idaho. He is CBT, DBT, and EMDR-trained and has helped a diverse list of individuals, family/children, couples, and groups address issues including anxiety, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, depression, mood and emotional dysregulation, and interpersonal relationship/family issues. Outside of session Stephen enjoys being an avid foodie, singer, and a meditation practitioner.
