Cynthia Annest, LCSW

Cynthia Annest is a caring and effective bilingual clinical social worker.  She has addressed mental health concerns and biopsychosocial needs in Canyon County for over 10 years helping families and individuals.  In session Cynthia uses a trauma sensitive, client centered, and balanced approach encouraging safety in processing, joining with clients in working toward their goals, and validating their experience while also challenging and equipping for client progress.  When working with children/adolescents and families Cynthia uses family included approaches helping care givers/guardians to identify skills and strategies that empower them and help them manage, reduce distress, regulate, encourage healthy relationships and family dynamic, and increase resilience and wellbeing.

Cynthia is currently working with individuals and families across the lifespan to address trauma, anxiety, depression/bi-polar, disruptive/impulse control/conduct, neurodevelopmental, and other mental health issues.  She is trained in and regularly includes CBT, DBT, CATIE DBD, TF-CBT and EMDR modalities in her work. Cynthia received her Master of Social Work with honors from Northwest Nazarene University.  She enjoys spending time with husband, friends, and family.  She also enjoys e-biking, fishing, cooking, and teaching her dog Timber new tricks.
