July 14, 2023

Boise, ID – Full Circle Health, a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate medical care, is thrilled to officially announce the launch of its pioneering Pediatrics Residency Program on July 3, 2023. This landmark initiative marks the first-ever pediatrics residency program in the entire state of Idaho and within a 1400-mile expanse of the northern US east of Seattle and Portland and west of Minnesota, ushering in a new era of healthcare excellence for children and families across the inland Northwest and Northern Rockies.

With a steadfast commitment to fostering the next generation of pediatricians and expanding pediatrician access to rural areas in our region, Full Circle Health’s Pediatrics Residency Program will play a vital role in addressing the shortage of pediatricians in this area and enhancing access to high-quality healthcare services for children in Idaho. This groundbreaking program will enable aspiring pediatricians to receive exceptional training and education, equipping them with the necessary skills to provide top-notch care to young patients.

“The launch of Full Circle Health’s Pediatrics Residency Program is a momentous occasion that will have a profound impact over time on the availability of pediatricians per capita in Idaho and the surrounding region,” said Dr. Perry Brown, Pediatrics Residency Program Director at Full Circle Health. “By establishing the first pediatrics residency program in Idaho and our region, we aim to address the growing healthcare needs of our region and ensure that children receive the best possible care.”

The Pediatrics Residency Program at Full Circle Health will provide residents with a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum encompassing diverse pediatric specialties, cutting-edge medical technologies, and innovative research opportunities. Under the guidance of seasoned faculty members and in collaboration with esteemed medical partners, residents will gain hands-on experience in a wide range of clinical settings, including primary care, specialty clinics, community outreach, and rural programs.

By nurturing the development of talented pediatricians through this residency program, Full Circle Health aims to bolster the healthcare infrastructure in Idaho and our region, creating a network of highly skilled professionals dedicated to serving children and families.
